1)         SUTTA STUDY CLASS ON 3rd SEPTERMBER 2010, FRIDAY

The Sutta Pitaka, the second division of the Tipitaka, consists of more than 10,000 suttas (discourses) delivered by the Buddha and his close disciples during and shortly after the Buddha’s 45 year teaching.

A Sutta Study Class will be conducted by Bro. Law Thim Fook every fortnightly, starting October 2010, at KMBS centre. An introduction to Sutta Study will be conducted on 3rd September 2010.

Speaker            :           Bro. Law Thim Fook

Topic               :           Overview of Sutta

Biodata of Bro. Law Thim Fook:

Law Thim Fook has spent more than 2 decades in the banking/financial institution. In addition, he has also worked as a Software Consultant/Client Support Manager for several years with a multi-national company during this period. When Bro Law first saw an advertisement on Reiki in the year 2000, he instinctively knew what it was, and after checking out the centre which offered the course, he decided to sign up. Looking back, there were a few incidents that suggest that he has this natural healing ability. With Reiki, it further enhances his healing skill.

In 2002, Bro Law felt a strong inclination that directed him to take up the Mastership level in Reiki. Again, looking back, there were many conditions which seem to ‘push’ him towards this path, what is commonly called ’synchronicity’. In spiritual terms, this can be alluded as ‘Spiritual Calling’. Shortly after having taken up the Master level (the following week, to be exact), a friend suggested that he teaches Reiki to him and his family. From then on, it kickstarted the Reiki classes mostly by word of mouth/recommendation. In July 2004, after seeing so much benefits that Reiki has brought to so many people, and also as if to answer further to the “Spiritual Calling”, Bro Law decided to “take the leap of faith” by going full-time as a Reiki Teacher cum Therapist. Today, Bro Law also feels that Reiki has opened him up to many aspects of Spirituality and also some New Age ideas. Bro Law also finds that through the reiki courses, he is able to help people to enhance or discover the spirituality within his students. He also finds that such experiences have also enhanced a deeper understanding of the Dhamma, as well as further his spiritual growth. Nowadays, Bro Law prefer to call himself ‘a Buddhist by faith, a Spiritualist at heart’.
