Driven away by numerous temptations
Taken away by worldly attractions
They all are running faster and faster
After the mirage of this unsatisfactory life.

Their wants and desires
All being fulfilled
Yet, full of sorrow
And the chaos they experience.

Life is suffering
Life is pain,
Life is dukkha
Yes, it’s true
What the Buddha says

“Lamentation and longing
And the grief within oneself,
Yank this arrow out from yourself
If it is happiness that you seek.”
