Sabbapāpassa akaraṇaṃ,
kusalassa upasampadā,
sacittapariyodapanaṃ -
etaṃ buddhāna sāsanaṃ.

To avoid all evil,
to cultivate good,
and to purify one’s mind -
this is the teaching of the Buddhas.
