Qing Ming Pattidana by Bhante Wanarathana (31 Mar. 2024)

KMBS is organising Qing Ming Pattidana on 31 March 2023, Sunday by Bhante Wanarathana to dedicate merits to our dearly departed ones and friends. This event is also for us to express our gratitude, cultivate spiritual virtues to honour the memory of the departed and help them to be relieved of suffering.

8.30am Pindapata / Alms Round at Bandar Puchong Jaya Morning Market
9.30am Lights Offering IMO departed ones @ KMBS
10.00am Buddha Puja, Short Dhamma Talk & Memorial Service for the Departed Relatives
11.20am Offering of Lunch Dana, Dedication of Merits and Requisites to the Sangha
12.00pm Lunch for Devotees

Ven. Rideegama Wanarathana

Bhante serves as a lecturer specializing in Buddhist Social Work at the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka. His dedication to both academia and research has yielded noteworthy advancements in the realms of Buddhist Philosophy and Social Work. He earned his foundational degree in Buddhist Philosophy from the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka. Subsequently, he pursued dual Master’s degrees, one in Buddhist Philosophy from the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka and another from the University of Kelaniya, alongside a Master’s in Social Work from the National Institute of Social Work Development. Currently, he is pursuing his doctoral studies in Social Work at the University of Cyberjaya in Malaysia.
